Erick Lindgren is a competitor in every sense of the word. Erick grew up in California, and was an athletic star in high school, winning an MVP award in basketball, and all-league honors as quarterback of his football team. Now, he spends his days competing in poker, while playing golf and basketball during his time off from poker.
College Drop Out
Erick dropped out of college in his second year, knowing that he was a gambler. He started out as a blackjack dealer, eventually gaining an interest in poker. After realizing his love for poker, Erick committed himself to getting better and has put together a nice string of victories.

In 2002, Erick won his first major tournament at the Bellagio. Just a few months later, in 2003, Erick won a World Poker Tour event in Aruba, taking down a first prize of $500,000. It wasn’t long before he had another major win, this time winning the WPT PartyPoker Million III cruise. Erick was a million dollars richer after this win.
The beginning of 2005 was a very prosperous time for Erick. In January, he finished second in the World Series of Poker Circuit Event in Atlantic City. In February, he finished fifth in the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic. He then won the second Professional Poker Tour tournament in LA a week later.
Erick started off 2006 by finishing third in the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open. In June of 2006, Erick won the FullTiltPoker.net Poker Pro Showdown event, beating fellow Full Tilt Poker pro Mike Matusow on the first hand of heads-up play.
